I have been working at QGC full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Challenging Work/Lifestyle balance 15:13 roster Surrounded by lots of experienced workers

    Cons

Overworked Too Administrative Constantly changing Leads are basically under roled / underpaid supervisors

    Advice to Management

Hire more workers so the company can break out of its hustle and develop into a clean operation.

I have been working at QGC full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fast paced, exciting project, opportunities to innovate within your role. Benefit of being part of Shell and the access to experience and knowledge that affords.

    Cons

Uncertain times over the last few years, combination of the place in the project lifecycle, industry downturn and acquisition by Shell have meant lots of job cuts.

I have been working at QGC

    Pros

    - Good opportunities for global development - Competitive pay and benefits - City work location, and good view from building - Interesting work, varied and innovative (in areas)

    Cons

    - Taken over by Shell, unknown future direction on company and culture - Global CEO management changes have meant the ship has taken a few course corrections over the years - Still political, like most organisations. Could do with a cultural shakeup

    Advice to Management

    - Continue to the QGC culture through the takeover with Shell. Don't lose sight of how your people have made the company what it is today, and that you are responsible for looking after your number 1 asset: people.

I have been working at QGC full-time

    Pros

International rotation graduate program (pre-Shell). Great people who collaborate well, agile to make decisions and not as much bureaucracy as other companies.

    Cons

Sometimes lack the systems and process of other larger IOCs and focused development of people.

    Negative Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at QGC full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The pay is great for what you actually do Some great people In my position I come in, do my work & leave so no contact after hours

    Cons

Poor morale within the entire business Contractors are often excluded - even the ones based in the business No opportunities for contractors - no kpi's, no targets The chairs are terrible

    Advice to Management

People employed as contractors within the business don't get to discuss their business goals or achievement. Lack of motivation to achieve anything when you have no goals. The business thinks it's 'One Team' but everyone knows better.
