Pros

The health care is cheap (but the actual care is only so-so).

Cons

There are some good people here, but in general this company is rotten to the core. I knew after six weeks I had to get out, but resolved to stay for at least a year. Then I got pulled into a meeting with director- and senior-level staff and listened while they discussed lying to our clients to cover up errors in data reporting; the plan was to continue reporting bad data for the next six months and hope the clients didn’t notice. I started job hunting the next day. I was only there about six months and am grateful it wasn’t more. Side note: the person who initially proposed lying to the clients was promoted shortly after that. Other things: • The technology and the attitudes are archaic • Turnover is high for a number of reasons: sloppy hiring practices, firing people after only a few months, overall bad morale, neglect, and a toxic culture • Business that isn’t straight-up unethical is also sloppy—like signing expensive contracts without knowing all the details or blowing tens of thousands of dollars through poor hiring of vendors (that actually happened twice while I was there).

We’re sorry to hear that this is your perception of QuadMed based on your short employment earlier this year. It’s unfortunate that you did not get to experience some of the exciting advances we’ve made in a number of areas in just the last months! No greater evidence of company-wide teamwork was displayed than with the recent go-live of our new medical record system which resulted in no disruption to patient care and praise from our client partners and vendor partner. Our commitment to best in class performance includes the way we conduct our business. We are very grateful the claim was raised internally six months ago so that we could thoroughly investigate and determine the claim to be unfounded. We strive to create an environment where concerns can be freely raised and we abide by the highest standards of conduct with each other, our client partners and our patients. We are always looking to better our business and learning from current and past employees is part of the improvement process. Thank you for taking the time to share your feelings, we hope you smash it out of the park in your new career!
