Pros

You will get all the perks that an MNC has like you get lunch and snacks, the gym is there for fitness, and you'll get work-life balance(but not always but yeah mostly). They support you to be fit mentally and physically for that they reimburse some health-related stuff like your cult subscription, dance classes subscription, and all on a yearly basis. Also, they provide medical insurance and employees of Qualcomm can get their stock at a 15% discount rate.

Cons

I worked in Qualcomm for the past 1.7 years and in that period I witnessed layoffs 3 times unfortunately in the third round I got laid off and I also heard that there will be more rounds of layoffs in upcoming years. So, this causes an unstable working environment where you are always stressing about layoff news. Through, every company, we can see layoffs but what disappointed me here is, that they are also hiring at the same time. A new employee is joining my team. So I asked my director and senior director about this and why is like that the same team is hiring and removing, honestly not spice up anything, and I did not receive any satisfaction. They all are talking in circles blaming higher authorities. Nobody got a hike in the company in 2023, and they are not planning to recompose last year and give a higher hike this year. Also, I did not feel that the quality of work at Qualcomm was good. When I compare my other friends working in other big MNCs, there is a huge difference between their learning curves and mine. In Qualcomm 80% of tasks are to debug, 10 % is removing compilation errors/warnings, and other works like shifting a set of code from one version to another. Only 10% of work is where you will actually get the chance to code. So, if you code so little you will automatically lose your coding skills. So, if you love coding and want to continue learning coding, Qualcomm is no place for you.

Pros

Great benefits, the pay is like okay. Some cool reimbursement programs and health centers on campus

Cons

Career progression and culture varies extremely depending on department. Some parts almost set you up for failure and it's difficult to gain new skills. Lots of qualcomm teams are too scared to explore new technologies and migrate to state of the art services and are comfortable in sticking with old technology for familiarity. Also, HR does nothing if a coworker makes you uncomfortable.
