Pros

You have a good relationship with your colleagues but that’s about it.

Cons

Head office/Management don’t care about you. Many incidents occurred in Point A Kings Cross such as assault on staff and the most they can say/ask is are you ok. Alone working because of a reduction in staff due to covid. This should of been managed 10 times better. Was transferred from Shoreditch to Kings Cross for ‘training and development’ after 1 year of being at Kings Cross no training or development had been received but they were hiring leaders from outside. When I brought this to light I was told by HR I’m an adult and should of asked. Why should I ask for training and development when it was the same HR that convinced me to transfer but now I must ask for something that was your own idea? Terrible management need to do better. From when I heard your an adult and you should of asked I knew from that moment I’m not staying here. Handed in my notice and went to a better paying job. Don’t play around with employees careers and progression as there is way to many opportunities out there where a company would love to have you but Queensway/ point a hotels is wasting your time and playing games. You are expected to take part in projects/activities etc on your days off. HR asked me why I did not take part in a project presentation . I let her know it was on my day off and she told me it doesn’t matter. It does matter my life does not Revolve around work and your days off should be respected please do better. Please note when you don’t take part they note this down and use it against you.

Pros

Friendly and supportive colleagues and good options for progression.

Cons

Management support was lacking, and there were concerns regarding an unprofessional culture, including behaviour that could be perceived as bullying. Despite apparent awareness at a senior level, these issues were not adequately addressed. Prolonged understaffing created ongoing pressure, with regular requests to cover days off, and hard work often went unrecognised.
