Pros

-Decent products -Decent infrastructure already in place to help sales people be successful (Existing Salesforce database with lots of key contacts, existing customer base who, for the most part, are happy) -Divested from Dell, Dell destroyed the progress of all Quest's products

Cons

-Management can be extremely deceitful Delivering comp plans half way through quarters Mentioning lowering quotas and it never happening Reps having to fight to get proper commission payouts -Quotas are extremely unrealistic, no one is hitting quota.. maybe 10% of reps -No culture because experienced employees are laid off and then new employees are hired for the same positions 4 months later that must be trained and guided. Years of natural experience lost... -No tools given to sales to help them sell No one teaches anyone how to create reports in salesforce No existing account sets are given to new inside sales rep in new territories Reps not trained on mass emailing Reps not taught basics of selling - value, time, money, pain Lack of call shadowing to help reps -Lack of leadership - not a lead from the front mentality, lead by blaming others and offloading work to others -Mentality of "Always busy" but definitely not always busy because in reality there is not much going on

Thank you for a very long and detailed list of your experiences with Quest post divestiture. I'm sorry that your experience was so unsatisfactory. We have made great strides in reorganizing our sales teams from a functional model to a BU specific sales force. While there have certainly been issues from time to time, Quest leaders have acted with integrity and with the best interests of employees in mind at all times. There have been many success stories, including our announcement yesterday of the current crop of early qualifiers for President's Club. Good luck in your new role LuAnn CHRO

Pros

I’ve had the opportunity to be part of this organization through multiple phases of growth, change, and transformation. Like many companies in the tech space, there have been challenges and periods of transition. What continues to stand out to me is the organization’s ability to adapt, evolve, and keep moving forward. There is a strong focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and finding better ways to work. Current leadership encourages employees to share ideas, embrace change, and help shape meaningful improvements. I’m especially excited about the growing focus on new technologies and AI, and how they’re being used to help teams work smarter, faster, and more effectively. One of the things I value most is the culture. Employees are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work, share different perspectives, and participate in programs such as Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that foster connection, belonging, and community. I’ve appreciated the organization’s continued investment in these programs and in creating an environment where employees feel supported, heard, and valued. One of the most rewarding parts of my experience has been watching people grow their careers over time, whether that’s taking on new opportunities, moving into leadership roles, or exploring entirely new paths within the organization. In my experience, those who are willing to learn, have a growth mindset, stay adaptable, and embrace new opportunities can build long and rewarding careers here. After nearly a decade with the organization, I still believe its greatest strength is its people, culture, and commitment to continuous growth and improvement. I remain grateful for the opportunities, experiences, and relationships that have made my career journey both rewarding and meaningful.

Cons

Like many organizations, periods of growth and transformation can create change and uncertainty. Success often requires adaptability, a willingness to learn, and an openness to evolving priorities.

Pros

Quest Software is a great place to work. The people are genuinely good people, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Quest is a strong environment if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working with experienced teams, and helping customers address real business and security challenges. The company has a deep portfolio, talented employees, and many opportunities to collaborate across sales, presales, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams. I also appreciate the flexibility, the trust given to senior employees, and the ability to contribute strategically beyond a narrow job description.

Cons

Like many large technology organizations, processes can sometimes be complex, and internal alignment across teams may take time. There are also opportunities to improve enablement, communication, and consistency around product packaging, roadmap visibility, and internal workflows.
