Promotion from within masks underlying toxicity and favoritism - Assistant Lead Quick Quack Car Wash Employee Review

Pros

This company DOES promote from within, which in my opinion is something that is more so often said in a workplace than actually done in a workplace.

Cons

There is a facade, there is toxicity, there is drama, there is favoritism. This company is very good at upholding a facade with outside appearance but the moment you start actually trying to do what the company wants, (SMART, KIND, DRIVEN. CHANGING LIVES FOR THE BETTER - CUSTOMERS, TEAM MEMBERS AND OUR OWN. FAST, CLEAN & LOVED EVERYWHERE.) it all starts to fall apart pretty quickly on the inside.

Pros

Why would you want to work at a car wash? Sometimes you will get asked this. It’s because of the people. Those who are committed to changing lives for the better. Your life, in particular. Quick Quack is one of those rare places where the culture is seen through actions, not just words. It is a culture of smart, kind, and driven individuals. I’m very fortunate to have had the opportunity to grow with the company, and I’m better off as a result. As a leader and as an individual.

Cons

There is a TON of growth and new stores opening constantly, which can be a pro and a con. You are never bored but you also won’t have much of a break. Depends on how you view that. You might also get pigeon holed into certain tasks and work areas. In the end, I only left because I was moving, otherwise I’d have stayed.
