Pros

Flexible schedule, able to work on your own. This job is entirely remote and done on a tablet or phone.

Cons

You work as an independent contractor. Very low pay after factoring in your expenses (smart phone and tablet, reliable vehicle, must have a corporation or LLC and pay employer as well as employee taxes, have disability and workers compensation etc.). This protects them from liability but puts it all on you. You train online. It is unpaid training on your own time.

Thank you for your feedback about your experience here at Quitrak. I am glad that you found the job to be flexible to your lifestyle. Quiktrak provides a platform for inspectors and auditors to find jobs in their area. As you mentioned, you do work as an Independent Contractor however, you are not required to be incorporated or have an LLC, though we do recommend that for your own protection. Our inspectors work with us because they enjoy running their own business and Quiktrak can help them source work to fill their schedule. We work hard to ensure that we are paying competitively in the marketplace. From our research, we have found that we are on-par or above most, if not all, of our competitors. However, we are always looking for ways to increase the value we provide to our inspectors and have been focusing on entry into new markets that will help further increase the fees our inspectors can make. We wish you the best. Thanks, Brad Hajart

Pros

Very flexible with shifting work time and making up hours as needed so long as it doesn't affect the customer. I actually have vacation time to take an actual vacation. Lots of room for lateral moves if you aren't in a position that's a good fit. They have a college reimbursement program ($1000 per year - taxed of course). Exceptional handling of harassment by another employee. HR stood behind the complainant and reiterated a zero tolerance policy.

Cons

The pay sucks. They are stingy with holidays off. Lots of lateral moves not a lot for going up much. Most staff stink at answering their phones. Their IT department is frustrating beyond belief! Benefits are lacking and health insurance is very expensive. Yearly raise in 2025 was 3%. Considering that Rob Murphy says that we're profitable (and it sounds like it's very profitable) you would think that the payscale, days off, and benefits be better. More employees in each department are needed. Everyone feels overworked.
