Pros

I get to work with some of the most intelligent and driven people that I have ever met in super relevant industry with a lot of opportunity for improvement Not the typical consulting firm with respect to how we “partner” with clients

Cons

Processes are not necessarily defined (i.e. HR policies, path for advancement, workflow) Instead of being proactive, there are alot of quick fixes and fire drills. Performance Evaluations are useless with the "rack and stack" process

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
