Pros

Get your foot through the door with other companies, learn how hospital revenue cycling works by actually getting involved with the work,

Cons

Some sites do not have a good client relationship and clients will resent you, hires too many young college recruits to save money, no training is offer whatsoever, management does not focus on the team as a whole, no employee engagement activities

Amazing work life balance and flexible hours with many projects to learn from

Cons

No promotions, and the yearly pay increase is basically the inflation rate

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
