Pros

- 100% remote jobs options at all levels of the company. - Salaried employee's have unlimited PTO. - The paternity leave policy is exceptional. - Room for upward mobility at the management levels.

Cons

- Raises are small and not really based on merit. - Salaries are lower than average for the industry. - The HR Department is awful, impossible to reach, and never helpful. - Retirement and HSA matches are very low especially considering that pay is lower than average.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
