Pros

Being able to work remotely Interesting work Some really great, talented people

Cons

Our company was purchased by R1 and as soon as that happened, salary, bonus pay, PTO and benefit quality all went down. Constant layoffs Weak benefits No direction from management No advancement and posted jobs are never filled by existing employees HR is unresponsive Not respected for the work you do The culture they promote is the not the actual culture of the company

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
