Pros

Worked in the IT department. Well branded Canadian Bank Brand. Base Salary was 65K/Year, ( This varies for person to person) Good Yearly Bonus. Some departments are lucky to get Managers that deliver on either side ( Up & Down)

Cons

Managers do not understand and pass on unnecessary work pressure to the bottom & decrease productivity. Nobody looks at the personal preferences of low-level managers for promotions. Performance reviews are a sham. You are forced to spend too much time (10 pages) of performance report every year and the bonus & increments are decided by the junior manager well in advance!

Pros

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
