Pros

Generally nice lower level employees; fairly good benefits; no layoffs during COVID.

Cons

Financial advisors are mostly white, male "stock broker" holdovers from previously acquired firms who don't understand financial planning, think of themselves as gods and wield that power over employees in ridiculous ways. US based management exhibit "Minnesota nice" on the outside, passive aggressive cut-throat hypocrites on the inside. And although they espouse "diversity and inclusion" as a core value, the statistics show that this is a company created by white men, to benefit white men. How many Latino financial advisors are there? How many Asians? How many African Americans? I never met an African American financial advisor in my entire time at the company.

Pros

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
