Pros

Not a lot to share

Cons

As you may know, a pay transparency law went into effect in NYC in 2022. Recently, an entry-level position opened up in my immediate team, and, upon looking at the salary range, the bottom of the range was higher than I make! I discussed this with HR, and they told me that my market rate is lower than a new grad because of my "graduation year". HR refused to adjust my salary at all. I have been at RBC for 2 years with over 3 years of post-graduate experience.

Pros

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
