Pros

I think RLI is a great place to work because of the culture, collaboration, benefits, and work life balance. The culture at RLI is top notch and nothing that I seriously have ever experienced before. The ways in which teams and departments collaborate is nothing short of incredible and so thought provoking and innovative. The benefits they offer their employees is incredible and can't be beat. The work life balance is amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better job here at RLI and I can't wait to see where it takes me now in my lifelong career here.

Cons

I only wish I had came to RLI much much sooner! If you are considering it, please apply!! :)

Pros

RLI has a strong employee-ownership culture and a work environment where people are trusted to take ownership of what they do. The company is relatively flat, which gives employees visibility, access to leadership, and a better understanding of how their work affects the broader organization. Senior management is approachable in a way I have not experienced at other companies, and there is a real effort to listen to employee feedback through direct conversations, exit interviews, and companywide surveys. I also appreciate working with people who care about doing their jobs well and understand that their performance and conduct affect the company as a whole. For employees who are self-starters, think strategically, and take pride in their work, RLI can be a very positive place to build a career.

Cons

Because RLI is relatively flat and gives people a lot of ownership, it may not be the best fit for someone who wants a highly structured environment, frequent direction, or a clearly mapped career path at every step. Advancement and development often require self-advocacy, patience, resourcefulness, and a willingness to look for opportunities rather than waiting for them to be handed to you. That is not necessarily a negative, but it can be an adjustment depending on what type of environment someone is used to.
