Pros

Easy interview process only took 1 week

Cons

1. Everyone is friends and sometimes they cant differ between business and personal. I was sexually harassed and brought it to HR but because my abuser had been with the company 20 years I was terminated the next day.

ROSS Companies takes all allegations of harassment, including sexual harassment, very seriously. We conduct a thorough investigation of the allegations and take appropriate action at the conclusion of the investigation. If at anytime an employee is not satisfied with the results of the investigation, we have an open door policy, which the individual can address their concerns to any level of management.

Pros

I genuinely enjoyed my time with the company. I felt like the role gave me the right amount of challenge while still making me feel supported. What stood out to me most was that the company truly does care about its employees and their growth. Whether someone is looking to continue growing within the organization or pursue a new opportunity, there is a genuine sense of support and celebration for the individual. I never felt like people were looked down on for choosing a different path. Instead, I felt encouraged, respected, and rooted for. Overall, it was a genuinely great experience, and I would absolutely be open to returning in the future.

Cons

For areas of opportunity, I would say the biggest challenge comes from the asset types/sizes and ownership structure. Some of the communities are in more challenging markets or neighborhoods, and that can sometimes make it harder to fully align the property experience with the brand or growth goals. I do think there is an opportunity for continued investment in renovations, updated floor plans, and apartment improvements, because that would make the day-to-day challenges easier for the teams and create a stronger resident and prospect experience. That said, I also understand that in a fee-management structure, there are limits to what Ross can directly control. A lot of those decisions ultimately come down to ownership, budgets, and asset strategy. So while I do see room for improvement, I also recognize that many of those challenges are part of property management and not necessarily a reflection of the company’s support or leadership.

Pros

Properties are somewhat older and undergoing renovations but the clientele are genuine people. You become well rounded working with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Cons

Some of the properties are open on the weekends with small staff members which may conflict with somebody in a particular phase of their life.
