Pros

Go to work, make money. Pretty simple deal. I had been looking for a relationship like this for awhile. Seems like most new people turn their noses up after working a few days and walk off. Maybe because the place smells, I dunno. Country club , no micromanagement, be your own boss! They’ve been slow to fill supervisory roles and usually there’s only one working per shift. Sometimes I might not even talk to them for a few days. Most everybody is usually friendly and helpful and the negative ones that don’t want to work typically stay out of your way. Reasonable expectations, it may not push you to be more successful but it’s so much better than the frustration at the end of every day that couldn’t pull off the impossible. Pretty easy work, not too physically or mentally challenging. Even when it is you don’t have to sustain it for very long. Chances are you’ll have some downtime here and there. Pay is ok when you work a lot, 401k seems decent as well but I had to cash mine out. Payday is every Friday! Makes it easier to budget.

Cons

sentenced for knowingly spreading AIDS through sexual activity and IV drug use. There was recently a stabbing on the floor. I know I was accosted by a female panhandling that used to work there. Seems they like to hire some people on work release programs. Anyways I just bring all this up because HR typically have poor critical thought processes ( or logic or any other skill that requires concentration) and I’d imagine they’ll lump you in with the couple bad apples. Also outside of this city there aren’t many opportunities in this exact business. If you get a job at the factory maybe one day you can look forward to getting an easier job making another $1.5 an hour. Maybe a handful of people out of thousand’s have moved up to supervisory or cushy type jobs but virtually nobody has ever been promoted to the corporate side. The place stinks like burning wire and various chemicals, you’ll stink as well after working there. In fact you’ll need to go home shower and change your clothes before you go out in public because everybody will freak out thinking there’s an electrical fire going on. Nobody cares… about anything. Seems like most people just see this as a place to go hangout at. If you’re a driven person you’ll frequently have to do everybody else’s work. You’re probably going to end up usually working 70+ hours a week. I usually didn’t mind, I need the money and it’s what you have to do if you want to almost make those grown-up people paychecks. Façade of caring, they don’t really care about you your family or your safety (they just don’t want to be held accountable if you get in an accident) or work life balance. Like I said they don’t care about anything. Just don’t let them lull you into thinking that it’s anything more than a job. As a new employee you’ll have zero sick days, emergency days, vacation days, family days etc. After 3+ years it starts to get generous. Appears most of the old-timers have health issues . The “union” is pretend , keep your money

Pros

They will let you keep your job even if you point out, they will just make a few points disappear.

Cons

It's hot and smells badly of chemicals. If you go upstairs by the ovens the fumes will have you in tears and it burns bad. There are only people that like telling others what to do and no leadership. The "new" lines that are being built lack consistency and true planning. Maintenance techs should never work here as you will have to continuously take assessments and the Ramsey test to get rasies. Your degrees and experience mean nothing to Rea. Everything is old and needs updated but the is no plan of doing so, so no future for the company. They are just living on a prayer that the old equipment keeps going another day.
