Faux-Tech company with no vision. Avoid if you come through an acquisition. - Marketing Senior Associate Red Ventures Employee Review

Pros

- Younger team members are nice and eager to help - Provides opportunities to get involved in community volunteer programs - Decent benefits - Campus was cool back when commuting was a thing - CEO is well connected which could lead to future opportunities

Cons

- Lack of vision in the company, they don't build anything exciting, they just acquire businesses that are already performing well (and mismanage their acquisitions) - Limited career mobility if you enter through an acquisition. You'll maybe get promoted once but you won't be on "the leadership team" as they clearly favor Charlotte-based team members - Complete lack of transparency from leadership that claims "they're listening" but then does nothing to address the feedback they receive - Claim that "Constant change" is part of company culture but likely just a by-product of not knowing how to create a constructive organizational structure - Politics everywhere - Boring work, same old problems not getting solved because of limited resources - In my experience my vertical did not use industry standard technology like Hubspot, Salesforce, Drift/Intercom, so you fall behind your peers at other companies - Lining the pockets of white men and celebrity angel investors for no pay off (no bonus structure unless youre in the top 5% of performers)
