Pros

Redjack is a small-medium sized business where individual contributions truly impact the organization and its customers. The pay is competitive, the hours are flexible, and the benefits are fantastic. Redjack has a bit of a start-up feel despite having been around for 13+ years. The culture at Redjack is crucial to what makes the company successful as people are encouraged to take on problems directly with a scientific approach. Regardless of position or title, all ideas are taken seriously, and each employee has a voice that is heard. Management and team leaders are supportive and knowledgeable. They are also fairly hands-off, trusting and allowing their direct reports to own the problem and solution they are working on. There are open communication and collaboration between the various teams at Redjack as many of the subject matter experts sit in different parts of the organization. Luckily everyone is willing to help; whenever possible, to find solutions to difficult problems.

Cons

Onboarding can be rocky and there is not a large amount of structure around training and onboarding for new employees. This is in the process of being changed or matured by the new CPO and several of the department heads. Over the past 6 months, these processes have been improving and I am doubtful this will still be a problem in another 6 months. If you need constant oversight and encouragement about the work that you are doing, you may find the style at Redjack to be too relaxed, as you really need to be able to take ownership of your role and the tasks that you take on.
