Pros

The people I worked alongside at Rejuvenation are genuinely some of the most talented and dedicated people I have ever met, and the product they offer is a testament to that fact. This company successfully seeks these folks out and takes advantage of their abilities, talent, and hunger to prove themselves. That said, there is truth in growing closer in the face of extreme adversity and I have tremendous respect and admiration for nearly everyone I worked with at Rejuvenation. I was also forced to learn a lot very quickly, which I suppose could be considered a pro in hindsight, but it was extremely stressful at the time.

Cons

It is all but explicitly suggested before you even start that you'll be expected to go "above and beyond" the basic functions of your role, which certainly isn't uncommon in many companies. However, where Rejuvenation makes this expectation so confusing is how it is expressed by it's leaders. In the creative/design departments there are little to no training/onboarding procedures in place. You're left to glean what information you can from others in your department - who are all already at a dead sprint trying to gain whatever distance they can from the swelling snowball of work tumbling after them. When this (or any other of the slew of issues) was brought up to management it was masterfully deflected and the responsibility for improving it was placed right back into your own lap. Long story short: there is a complete lack of support coming from higher levels in the creative and design departments, you could describe the structure as dysfunctional at best, and downright toxic at worst. I also experienced numerous instances of immaturity, disrespect, and blatant elitism from leadership. Being passionate about doing good work and putting out a good product is one thing, being able to translate that passion into the skills necessary to lead a team of PEOPLE to achieve the desired outcome is another. This seem to be lost among some of the team leaders at Rejuvenation.

Pros

Michelle, the store manager at the time, created a customer-focused team-driven environment that was great to work in! Employees worked together for the good of the customer and gave credit for sales to the employee who deserved it. High quality lighting, hardware, and furniture and a positive sales environment.

Cons

Required to work weekends/holidays, like most retail jobs!

Cons

catty, unstable, unhappy management that takes out their unhappiness on lower staff. they always stressed and make it everyone else's problem. overlooks poor middle management for the sake of retaining a good turnover
