Pros

I came to Rendition with little experience as a SOC analyst. They have provided a training path that I feel increases my skills and understanding of cybersecurity. I have never worked at a job where I felt I could achieve anything. The SOC is new and I like having the experienced pentesters and forensic consultants as mentors.

Cons

High level of attention to detail and professionalism is def required. I've seen Other SOC analysts that don't want to work or learn struggle. Rendition isn't a "butt in seat" workplace, they expect commitment and a high level of professionalism from employees. You only make it here if you want it.

Pros

Lots of upward mobility. Received two promotions within one year for hard work and dedication. Your time and effort is a direct reflection of your compensation. Career growth left and right with constant challenging security engagements. Certifications are encouraged and compensation is given. Remote work capabilities for multiple positions gives many employees the freedom to work from home.

Cons

Due to the nature of cyber security, there are times when there are no playbooks for certain engagement scenarios. This is only a con for those who need more structure in their work environment; however, cyber security does not operate by the book always.

Pros

This is a great company where leadership is actually leading, not just a boss barking orders. Leadership actually cares about their employees remaining flexible for personal or work issues and strongly rewards hard work. Working on some of the biggest incidents, thus helping companies, their stakeholders, and families, is extremely rewarding. It's not "am I making any difference or helping people", it's "I am making a difference and helping people". Every day you learn something new and grow professionally (go from SOC analyst to pentester or pentester to DFIR analyst, etc). For as long as I continue working in cybersecurity, I will remain with Rendition Infosec.

Cons

Hard to find cons. The work is sometimes difficult and demanding (short term and this industry is tough) but again, hard work gets rewarded two to tenfold here.
