Pros
Nothing that I can think of
Cons
When considering Resonate Solutions, two aspects come to mind that need improvement: - Addressing the absence of an HR department, negatively impacting organisational culture. - Mitigating the perception of a nepotistic approach in recruitment processes. Resonate Solutions is currently in a growth phase, but it still carries the feeling of a family business, which leads to specific issues within the organisation. One notable concern is the C+ executives and their micromanagement practices; this negatively impacts the morale and self-esteem of team members. While the upper management may excel in their field, this does not necessarily make them experts in other business areas. Team trust is needed to maintain autonomy and positively impact morale. The absence of an established HR department directly affects team members and leaves the organisational culture lacking. It has been observed that some new hires are chosen based on their relationships with C+ executives rather than their skills or experience, indicating a potential nepotistic practice. Additionally, a common occurrence during the recruitment process is hiring interns alongside individuals with visa needs, allowing management to manipulate and control team members easily. The company has an alarmingly high number of interns without the proper systems and tools to train and support them in their career paths. Consequently, team members often find themselves overworked, stressed, and overwhelmed. I experienced a constant sense of being threatened, talked down to, and controlled, preventing me from showcasing my best work or expressing myself freely. The need for more transparency during the recruitment phase was particularly frustrating. Had I been aware of the nepotistic practices and the relationships involved when recruiting upper management, I would have reconsidered accepting the offer. This unfair treatment becomes more pronounced without an HR department to address concerns. There are no more viable options than seeking a resolution from the CEO directly. Another issue that deserves attention is the high employee turnover rate (which is incredibly high). It's crucial not to be swayed solely by positive reviews and to pay attention to the negative ones, as I find them trustworthy. Anyone considering an offer from Resonate Solutions should think carefully before deciding. Take the time to weigh the potential downsides and consider the impact on your professional growth and job satisfaction.
