Pros

You are given a fairly good salary based on experience.

Cons

This organization is poorly run because the CEO has minimal experience working in general, however uses his status to fundraise money which creates the illusion of success. He is highly emotional, inconsistent and unpredictable which makes working there very anxiety provoking. There is close to no structure or support, however everyone is expected to be an expert, despite their lack of experience or knowledge for the job they are hired for. Avoid this place at all costs.

Pros

Do not be misguided by the decent salary & benefits

Cons

This is not an organization anyone should work for - whether you're an attorney, social worker, or intern. The organization is led by a CEO who does not have management skills and takes any feedback personally and responds with anger. There is no organizational vision - it shifts constantly based on what the CEO wants to do and what kind of mood he's in. Despite being a social justice organization, important things like following the ethical rules, professionalism, and respect for all (especially employees) - are completely disregarded. Approximately 75% of employees left the organization within one year of working there due to the terrible work environment created by the CEO and Board of Directors. Legal interns who worked directly under the CEO reported being asked to do things that violated the professional code of ethics. In short - do not work here.
