Pros

There are some good things. Your immediate team is one of them. It's a big company--some locations are better than others.

Cons

The Politics Suck. There is a lot going on with Ricoh right now as the company is struggling in the market. Job security is terrible if they can't meet the numbers. I've seen a few good people thrown under the bus or be pushed out while some truly terrible managers remain in place because they're good at playing the game for their own ends but not the company's best interests. New World of Work = We will watch you Constantly. These pretty offices are a joke. If you interview here, do not believe them when they say there is a flexible work schedule. Because it will be a bait and switch. For a tech company to not allow employees to USE the remote worker tech the company sells is pretty ridiculous. It's very old-school. Trust: There is little all around. For anything. More time is spent justifying to senior management than selling to customers. Perhaps that's why the company is in trouble? I pity the field techs. Hard working bunch--usually treated terribly by management and paid even worse.

Pros

• Decent pay • Great benifits • Car allowance/reimbursement for a personal vehicle and depreciation • The ability to travel and build relationships with customers • Learning mechanical and electrical skills • Independence and teamwork

Cons

• They just started enforcing the new commute policy which requires technicians to now give the company an hour of their time to and from work, if the customer is that distance away from their home at the beginning or end of day. Ultimately stealing up to 2 hours from the technician every single day and effectively punishing you for living so far away from a customer site. • Always coming with new ways to screw over technicians. They also just implemented new metrics that contribute to or take away from your bonus. • Sales reps usually always get the wrong equipment delivered to a customer and you have to be the one to deal with a screwed up mess • Lack of communication between sales/deliveries/management
