Nice staff and most customers were OK

Company does not care about staff or customers. Owner is a greedy bully that doesn't give a damn about anyone even though most staff are struggling financially. You cannot do anything right and constantly made to feel bad, always being told "you've failed" Owner is very paranoid and doesn't trust anyone so he has put cameras with audio into the stores to spy on staff although they say its for security (even though shops get regular calls questioning what they have said or what are they doing and why.) Nothing to do with security as they have also installed cameras at the head office were there is no stock or customers. They will blame everything on staff, i was told most of the staff have left over the last couple of years but they don't care as staff were just replaceable things. The company is hated by all local musicians and have an unbelievably bad reputation. They advertise next day delivery which was false but we were still told to take the money and then sell them something else. I have never worked in such an unhappy environment and found it very difficult to go to work each day. I sincerely hope all the remaining employees find new jobs were they are treated as humans and Rimmers go out of business as they don't deserve any better.

If you like being around guitars or pianos all day

Cons

Very quiet shop, hardly any customers come in and we were harassed by a little dweeby "sales expert" called graham who is one of those brown nose weak pathetic little men who's is one of the worst jobsworths one can ever meet
