- Fully remote - Great company culture - Leadership & CEO who trusts & supports the team, backs employees and cares about wellbeing - Diverse portfolio of clients - Great benefits (good paid holidays, good paid PTO, wellness stipend, 401K matching, birthdays/ anniversaries gifts, flex Fridays)

Pros

I love working at Roar Media. I feel recognized and valued among our team, and the company culture pushes and supports my drive to develop, grow, and achieve in my role. If I identify a better mouse trap or approach, my manager is psyched and all-in to get me what I need to accomplish it! Significantly, our HR and leadership nurture an environment where we all are encouraged and supported in our drive for success. We are encouraged to attend industry events and evolve our skill sets; we are recognized for our accomplishments; and we are supported in our aspirations. Resources and managers are readily available at all times. I would also say that the benefits and perks are quite good, especially our holiday company closure every year and our wellness benefit which we can use as we see fit in our personal lives. We celebrate our accomplishments together along with our diversity and mutual success. It's hard to describe a better team.

Cons

I can't think of any negative aspects about working at Roar - unless you do not enjoy working remotely. It's a remote-first agency and a lot of us work at least somewhat independently on a day-to-day basis. That said, the team I work on schedules in-person working events often, we communicate constantly online, and the HR department organizes plenty of events company-wide, so the framework works well for me.

Pros

- The remote setup is easily Roar’s biggest strength and one of the main reasons I stayed. The flexibility and work/life balance are much better than what you find at most agencies. - The client roster is solid and keeps the work interesting! -There are talented people throughout the company, and most employees are supportive of each other despite leadership challenges. - The company does make an effort to organize monthly meetings and maintain some sense of team culture.

Cons

- Certain department leaders appear to operate without accountability, even when their management style negatively impacts morale and collaboration. - HR feels ineffective when it comes to handling concerns, which created frustration for myself and others who try to raise issues professionally. - Some work got too repetitive and there was not much opportunity to swap accounts once assigned for some time.
