Pros
The owner of the company is an amazing guy who really cares for every single one of his employees. Every six months from their hiring date, employees get a performance review accompanied with a 50¢ pay increase as long as they haven't received a written warning (which is difficult to do; for example, it takes 8 times clocking in late to receive a written warning, and tardies drop off the record a test 6 after they were accrued.)
The health insurance through ASR Cigna has low copay and deductibles and includes great coverage for prescriptions, specialists, and emergency visits, for on average less than $50/month. Vision and Dental insurance are equally as good if not better, for only $1.50 and $1 respectively.
Employees have near constant opportunity for overtime work, and start with 40 hours of both paid vacation and paid personal time off, and 80 hours of unpaid "Bank" hours which are used if the employee clocks in late or out early without pre-approved bank or personal time, and can also be used to take off without pay. All time off can be used either for a full shift or for a partial shift.
2nd and 3rd shift workers get an automatically higher pay (75¢ higher for 2nd, unknown for 3rd) for worker later hours.
Per company policy, employees cannot be made to work over a 12 hour shift for any circumstances.
Employees are guaranteed Sundays off.
Cons
Overtime work is often mandatory, with frequent mandatory Saturdays to keep up with work output.
Employees do not acquire more than 40 hours of vacation or personal time until 5 and 10 year milestones.
Per company policy, employees cannot voluntarily work over 12 hours in a shift.
