Pros

The culture in the Kansas City office is amazing. Everyone cares about each other and getting the work down together.

Cons

Pay is below the average you can make other places in Kansas City.

Pros

Worked for the Tax R&E Team. Amazing group, great company, and fun intern events. Was allowed to stay on and work part time for a fall semester. 10/10 would recommend. Learned so much about statups/emerging technology companies. Clearly a good culture

Cons

Wish I got to work the "tax" seasons to truly understand the full through process.

Pros

Great PTO and office is closed week between Christmas and New Years. Denver office is gorgeous and lots of free food during busy season. Was great for me starting out out of college as there are a lot of young, friendly staff. Great work/life balance

Cons

They don't have senior/junior roles which isn't an issue if you stay but if you leave you don't have the benefit of the title. Pay isn't the best if you stay long term, no profit sharing until after 2 years. I personally faced an issue that if you weren't one of managements favorites (not necessarily if you weren't good at your job) you do not get good opportunities. Your performance is very hush hush and what "success" looks like is this big secret. I was in the dark on how my performance was my whole career, asking leadership how I was doing and it was always just "good" with no constructive feedback and no clue how manager track looked for me. Huge mean girl environment and very cliquey.
