Company insists on using in-house, archaic software (at the expense of time and resources) instead of paying for mature, much more capable and efficient systems on the market. Budget rationale is a bit messed up (i.e. can't purchase tools we need to do our jobs, but we can hire interns and spend in other areas where it isn't needed). Sometimes we get quite mixed messages from management b/c they are trying to balance the mixed messages they are getting from higher up. Things take FOREVER.
