Pros

- Stable business - Privately held so less pressure on quarterly numbers vs. Public companies

Cons

- Leadership doesn’t empower employees. They need to be involved in every little detail. Everything takes so long due to this - Lack of trust on employees - Old school mindset of needing people in the office in order for work to get done. Zero flexibility in order to accommodate today’s reality - Ancient flexible/remote working policy - COVID response towards employees and the ability to work remote has been terrible. They have tried to force employees back to the office since last summer... see point above on lack of trust and no flexibility - Feedback falls on deaf ears. People are leaving the organization due to all of this and no changes are happening. The amount of open roles now is unbelievable

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are proud to be a privately held company that does what's right for people and the planet because we believe we have a larger purpose. We also believe SCJ is stronger as a team when we can work together in-person, but we appreciate the feedback.

Pros

You will not be bothered by people talking to you, benefits seem okay.

Cons

Don’t expect to be trained on anything. Management will expect you to figure things out on your own, request your own accesses and figure out what you need without any guidance. They’ll send people to you for questions on how to do stuff within your first couple days, not having taught you how to do those things.
