Pros

* Culture - The people are what makes the company * Workload - Challenging but very rewarding. You get exposed to a lot of different aspects of the business. For those entry level or gaining more experience, you won't be disappointed. * Benefits - Day 1 benefits and covers quite a lot. Not just health and dental, the company does a great job providing different activities to help engage employees and make it fun while in the office. Examples include food trucks, lunch and learns, painting, sports, etc.

Cons

* Advancement - Don't expect to move up. Many in Canada are long time employees and because the headcount is very small, you would need to wait for someone to leave to have a chance. * Performance reviews and Bureaucracy - Senior leadership play a big role in that they need to deliver results while also maintaining order and stability amongst everyone working at SCJ. While they act like they can be your "friend," do not let this fool you. At the end of the day it's business as usual, and this speaks truth with performance reviews. Senior leadership has the role of delivering results for the whole of Canada. Those who work on a business will take on metrics for that business. This means if your business suffers but overall Canada is doing well, you take the beating in your performance review even though you have no control of those metrics to a huge extent. Also, if overall Canada is fine with taking on more expense that it does not hurt the bottom kine but your business suffers, well guess what? They will force you to spend the dollars allocated to your unit even though you again....suffer. Finally, if you get a bad review, this will follow you till the end of time. There is literally no escape, especially if by some luck a person in a higher level leaves, your manager will pin that bad performance review during that one fiscal year in your throat if there is competition for the open upper level role. * Pay - Extremely surprised at this. The amount of work you do (although rewarding and challenging), the pay does not match. It really did surprise me to know SCJ is lacking in salary vs others in CPG. Disappointing.

Pros

You will not be bothered by people talking to you, benefits seem okay.

Cons

Don’t expect to be trained on anything. Management will expect you to figure things out on your own, request your own accesses and figure out what you need without any guidance. They’ll send people to you for questions on how to do stuff within your first couple days, not having taught you how to do those things.
