Cons
If you’re looking for a company that will care about you, this is NOT the place. If you’re looking for a company where you have to constantly worry and walk on eggshells , then this is the perfect place for you. If you accept mistreatment and inequality for a low pay, then you’ll love SJV. This is the worst company I’ve ever worked for. You get paid $12 an hour to get worked like a dog. The supervisors do absolutely NOTHING but walk around and talk, but expect you to bust your butt to cover their numbers. There is absolutely no structure in this place, and cannot get the same answer from 2 different people. Supervisors and team leads will lie on you to cover their own mistakes. As a minority, I can 100% say I did NOT feel like I was treated equally as the majority. They’ll make up rules just to fire you. All this company cares about is making money, even if it is at the expense of their employees. Oh, let’s not forget about the micromanagement. They log EVERYTHING you do. A supervisor will barely be at their desk the entirety of their shift (they typically walk around/talk/go outside to smoke), but a processor will receive discipline for using the bathroom one too many times. This is a terrible company, and I hope Scott gets this place together or I don’t see it thriving. This is a company that will do a mass hire to fix their issues, then CREATE any reason to fire the same people after those issues are resolved. They will cut your hours without warning, and force you to adjust your livelihood. If you value your peace of mind, then please don’t waste your time with SJV. Also, ignore the one star. I’d give zero stars in all the categories if that was an option.
