Pros

There are SOME people here who I enjoyed working with. This company largely consists of friends and relatives of the CEO so be careful who you talk to. The 9/80 schedule can be a good benefit if your supervisor/boss allows you to actually use it. However, it's likely that even on your "Friday off" you will still get a bunch of emails and requests.

Cons

No doubt this review will end up being posted on the CEO's personal social media account stating that SMC just "isn't the right fit for some" or "we are always looking to improve." To an outsider you’re thinking, “wow they really value their people and feedback.” Let me assure you, it's a façade. What will actually happen is they will villainize this review internally and do nothing to change. They will brag to you that they are a growing company, but they aren't. They aren't doing anything to help their people or business grow - only making more podcasts every week and making sure the CEO gets his limelight. Sure, hitting the "INC 5000" list is great - if you don't inflate your revenue. All I will say is if you are interviewing here, ask about client churn. You can work really hard here and be rewarded with nothing. Doesn't matter if you take on extra projects, become a manager, build things out - they won't promote you or give you the raise you deserve. There are so many more examples I would love to share but honestly, I'm just done with this place. If you value your sanity, time, life, and career just stay away. Go work somewhere that actually cares about you as a human being and not just the amount of $ you can bring them.

Pros

I love working with SMC National. They are organized and proactive in their approach to cutting edge strategies. Our leadership is constantly navigating the areas we can adjust to make the experience better for both the client and employees. As a Registered Dental Hygienist and former Practice Administrator working directly with dentists to growth their practice through marketing with operational support of the key driver, is incredible. I love that I get to work remotely and feel supported by my colleaguse despite not being in a common workspace.

Cons

I don't have any cons. I think its really easy to focus on the bad when your an employee but I have been in leadership prior to SMC and I can directly see the effort and intention here at SMC. No complaints here!
