Pros
honestly enjoy coming into work every day and don't dread getting up in the morning, working in a job I feel unhappy in, which has been the case with other jobs in the past.
From the very start over a year ago, I felt welcomed into the SQ family straight away. Probably the first place I've ever worked in, where every single person gets along with each other. No disrespectful conversations behind people's backs or petty office politics. Such a lovely bunch of people to work with every day, and I feel really lucky for that. Such a talented, friendly team full of genuine people.
Everybody (including higher management and directors) offer support and provide encouragement. The directors have a close working relationship with their employees; making you feel personally valued and not just another number on a payslip. This also means that if you have ideas you want to bring forward, you have the opportunity to do this.
There's always development opportunities, if you are passionate about something, its great to know that you can develop the skills you need to succeed in this and be fully supported along the way.
There's been a lot of change of the past year, but I genuinely feel that the business is moving in the right direction.
Cons
The Tuck Shop means I have to do lots more exercise after work!
