Pros

I'll try to put everything together on a type of essay so if you want to join this company should consider before wasting your time. This is a 80 million dollar company, they rave about it all the time, and still they can't manage to pay decent salaries, this is the type of company that will make a profit out of their employees salaries examples ?? As of today February 9/2016 everybody gets paid $10.10 an hour, that falls for cooks, porters, and cashiers. Servers and bartenders get $7.50 ( shame on you SSP). Servers and bartenders get tips, but cashiers aren't allowed to take any, there's this other thing called a blind drop, and if your $5.00 over or short you'll be fired; managers who get salary are exploited and expected to work around 60 hours a week, and if cooks or cashier, server, porter don't show up the manager will have to do the job, aaaandd if something goes wrong even if the company is wrong because of so many issues this company has, they don't care and they blame the manager till the end. Unfortunately I haven't met the first person that is looking forward to stay long term, almost 70% of people I encounter at my work place are looking a way to get out of here. This is CHAOSSS!! The only good is they give you free soft drinks and coffee, why is such a big deal? Well... because before you pass security you have to get rid of any drinks you may have, and if you have a 6 am call time that coffee will be needed, and it will hit the spot. Now, food?? You just get 50% off but just once a day.... and no packaged food Ok. Again they make profit out of their employees! Cashiers could be making 17 dollars and hour easily, and pay cooks 25.00 but. ... they want that look you know. Million dollar company look.

Cons

I work at JFK, and distances are a HUGEEE challenge! Have to come 20 min before call time, so I can pass security, very low pay, and disorganization is the order of the day.

Pros

The employee meal discount is genuinely helpful since bringing food into the airport or buying it from outside is difficult. Many hourly employees are friendly, supportive, and hardworking. Most frontline managers try their best and often go above and beyond despite the pressure they face.

Cons

Senior leadership in the Northeast region operates with intimidation, ego, and favoritism, creating a toxic and unprofessional environment. Schedules are changed constantly with little notice, and employees are expected to work long, exhausting hours without regard for work–life balance. When employees speak up about burnout or need to call out due to exhaustion, they are often targeted instead of supported. Union employees frequently earn more than the supervisors responsible for managing them, which creates tension and undermines morale. Promotions are based on personal relationships rather than merit, and nepotism is widespread across multiple levels of leadership. HR functions more as a disciplinary weapon than a neutral resource for resolving issues or supporting employees. The overall culture is retaliatory, inconsistent, and not aligned with ethical or sustainable business practices.
