Great company when owned and operated by Dimatteo family then Safeway bought it and have done a wonderful job of running it into the ground.
Cons
Safeway's "My way or the highway approach/one size fits all'" Does not to this day understand the Chicago market and its diverse clietele. Company functions in an atmosphere of fear,negative reinforcement, and micromanagement. George Orwell's "1984" is a perfect analogy to how this company works.
