Pros

Sage have gone through huge change in the time that I've been with the company and now really feel like we're set up to live our values and deliver for our customers. Internal development and promotion really is a big focus at Sage and during my time at the company have moved into several different roles progressing with each and working in different business areas. Being able to work a mixture of homeworking and in office is great as we have flexibility within each team as to how this looks and having the option to work from another country is also a huge bonus. Sage also put put the community at the heart of what we do through the Sage Foundation and colleagues are all able to volunteer for 5 days each year with a charity of their choosing and also take part in arranged events throughout the year.

Cons

There always feels like we have so much going on that its sometimes hard to keep updated with everything

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
