Pros

-recognize hospital week and nurses week with treats -was getting a merit raise and another raise for inflation (have yet to receive) -opportunities to learn

Cons

-merge with BjC has made saint lukes greedy (benefits not as good and the price went up a considerable amount for PT employees) plan itself for next year isn’t as good - always accepting new patients in clinic when we can’t even see the old patients - treats employees like another body to be replaced- don’t value retaining current employees - you can tell Your manager issues and hope for change- it likely won’t happen at a higher level - nothing is personalized for employees- you are just another body- lucky you get a pin for 5, 10 years etc- that’s all you get

Pros

you can get your MA for free

Cons

Low pay, no sick time, benefits aren’t great, managers will gaslight you into thinking whatever is in their benefit, stressful, seeing unlimited amounts of patients you have to see, managers don’t care if you can’t afford cost of living or anyone in the system. They think $22 is more than enough even when working for 8 years and being loyal. When you advocate for a better pay they tell you that you are basically making what someone would in 15+ years of service. They don’t do increases on cost of living. Merit raises are .40-.60 cents for most of front desk and MA no matter how hard you work.
