Salt Lake County, UT

Is this your company?

Just not worth it, in my opinion. Better opportunities - and pay - elsewhere. - Anonymous employee Salt Lake County, UT Employee Review

Pros

Some good, decent, level-headed co-workers. Different positions you can transfer to - if you get burned out or if your supervisor is a trouble-making narcissist.

Cons

The pay is not what you think it is. On their main website, you would think that the job listings are "hourly pay" - WRONG!! Don't be fooled - you are actually paid on/by an "annual" pay, which makes what you bring in significantly less. They also tend to keep the wrong people (mostly supervisors) in the wrong positions. Becoming a "merit employee" guarantees that people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) get to stay in their position for as long as they would like - especially if they become a supervisor! (These narcissistic individuals tend to drive good, intelligent, hardworking employees away - and the County doesn't seem to care or do anything about it. Instead, they sit on their hands and keep their mouths shut - and allow bad things to happen to good people.)
