Pros

Typical startup perks: remote work flexibility, snacks, swag and usually a nice Christmas gift. The general team is very nice and gets along well. Generally a young, smart team. The Edmonton office is nice and centrally located, if you get to work in it.

Cons

Most of the C-Suite team have no clue what they’re doing. It’s a lot of their first time being the boss and it shows. A lot of people getting hired recently are overqualified and this causes a lot of clashing with the current leadership who think they know better. A lot of really talented people have left in the last 3-4 months - which shouldn’t that be a red flag when a company just scored Series A? Also expect to get low balled on your salary with the excuse that “it’s a startup”. Expect to work lots of overtime. Low vacation time given - regardless of where you’re located. Not great benefits. Says their ethical but is on track to be completely unethical.
