Pros

The product was invented with great science and could have shot if it was not for the bad leadership and management.

Cons

The company went down hill ever since the former CEO Robert Winslow got replaced by Brian O'callaghan. Because of the bad management and hiring ever since, countless layoffs started happening from 2009. The senior managers kept sucking the funding from one private investor until the end. The company finally was shutdown in 2013. Everything happened was kept secret internally and to the public. There was no transparency and the culture was horrible.

Pros

Wonderful colleagues. They will help guide you if this is your first time in Pharma. Good work life balance. Excellent all around.

Cons

None. This was the best experience I have had. You learn all aspects of biotech. The only con is you don't have a huge supportive staff. But if you like to wear all hats, this is the job for you.

Pros

Cutting edge science with some excellent scientists doing work in areas of serious unmet medical need. Nice facilities and lovely climate! Company spends on training for it's employees.

Cons

As with all biotech start ups the major uncertainty always turns on ongoing funding and the need to procure it in order to keep the company going. Experience to date has been positive. If you join this company you had better know what you are doing, the small scale means that there's not many resources available for mentoring within the company
