Other people are forced to “wait your turn” because you can’t be promoted until your boss is promoted. Yet other mediocre performers get promoted simply for being a “solid contributor”. What about the people who overperform, are leaders, and dedicate 60 hrs a week to keep impossible projects on time? Yeah those get ignored.
