Pros

Meh, cool junior staff but little room for growth. And even if there was, I wouldn't want to climb up to be any closer to management than I currently am.

Cons

Save the Children Action Network (and Save the Children proper) is the most inflexible workplace I've ever experienced. They make employees take vacation time if they need to pick their kids up from school, do not allow anyone to arrive past 9am, and do not allow remote work under basically any circumstance. You have to take a sick day if you're sick but still able to work from home. Management is SO inflexible and old-school and talented employees are dropping like flies (myself included, soon). Do not work here if you value flexibility, trust and respect.

Pros

The team was amazing and the work Save the Children Action Network is incredible. They work in an open-office, I could see the COO's desk while working. Gave good constructive feedback and created a very collaborative environment.

Cons

As an intern, sometimes there was not enough work to fill the days. I felt that I could contribute more than I was being asked to, despite asking for more work.

Pros

It is supposed to be a great place in theory because you have flexible hours, good benefits, pay and other nice perks like yearly bonuses, and yet.

Cons

Management is a joke, it has been ran by the same people since it started who also hired their own friends to come along and lead, it's not Save the Children, it's a very weak spinoff, even if they try telling you the opposite. Management accountability, trust, opportunities of advancement, camaderie and diversity exist only if you look and talk a certain way, and even then all of the above are pretty much a myth. Just run and never look back, working here will hurt your essence.
