Pros

It is supposed to be a great place in theory because you have flexible hours, good benefits, pay and other nice perks like yearly bonuses, and yet.

Cons

Management is a joke, it has been ran by the same people since it started who also hired their own friends to come along and lead, it's not Save the Children, it's a very weak spinoff, even if they try telling you the opposite. Management accountability, trust, opportunities of advancement, camaderie and diversity exist only if you look and talk a certain way, and even then all of the above are pretty much a myth. Just run and never look back, working here will hurt your essence.

Great Mission / unclear advancement

Pros

Save the Children Action Network has the right goals - to be the political voice for kids. They are also incredibly well positioned to impact a host of policies that impact children and families, while drawing from a very powerful history and relationship with it's founding agency, Save the Children. They have made strides to be more transparent, and increased their commitment to DEI. They have some of the most dedicated and supportive staff.

Cons

In practice there is not a clear path for advancement that reflects the time someone has devoted to its mission or that accounts for diverse work and personality styles.
