Pros
Outstanding skilled and dedicated employees, good staff diversity and innovative and interesting products (especially in Healthcare). Furthermore the financial performance of the company has been strong with the stock increasing over five fold in the past 5 years. The company also gained listing on the London stock exchange, a significant accomplishment.
Cons
Scapa operates lean to a fault with skeleton crews at most plants the norm and outdated capital equipment. Scapa also has a policy of paying below market rate salaries and internal promotions are very rare. These systemic management policies create long working hours and demanding conditions. Thus its not surprising that high staff turn over and low morale are standard.
