Company has potential - Senior Systems Engineer Schwarz Partners Employee Review

Pros

Family oriented, hybrid work environment, sufficient compensation

Cons

It appears that career advancement and recognition within the organization are often influenced more by personal connections than by merit. Promotions frequently seem to be based on popularity rather than skill or performance. Individuals who contribute significantly—such as those on the helpdesk team, who form the backbone of the IT department—often go unrecognized, while others are promoted for simply being present early and staying late, despite limited meaningful output. Additionally, several individuals who lack strong interpersonal or leadership skills have been placed in managerial roles primarily due to tenure rather than capability.

Pros

The office building is decent but the parking garage is a nightmare.

Cons

Schwarz Partners attempts to give off a “cool”, “hip” vibe, pretending to care about employees. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The organization is full of favoritism. If you’re on the IT team you can work fully remotely or you can work partially remote and you can come and go as you please. The IT team -mainly white men, is given special privileges. Every other department can’t work remotely. We are forced to be in the office every single day. The benefits are way too expensive with poor coverage. They do not offer enough paid time off. The 401K is an absolute joke with basically no match. Most departments are severely understaffed, burning out employees while the Schwarz’s make money off of the employees they take advantage of. It’s a sick, twisted culture that is in need of an overhaul.
