Pros
The 'Friendly' in the name amuses me.
The overall feeling is of being in a cotton mill in the 18th century.
Older employees who chat the days away and dabble in taking credit for the work of the younger ones to diversity the water fountain gossip.
Very little ethnic diversity, plenty of examples of nepotism.
Any attempt at collaboration between departments is severely frowned upon.
Attempt of taking the initiative and learning more is met with suspicion, one literally has to beg to learn how to do the job best or understand how the departments work.
The people who are nice have this look of caution about them like they learned a long time ago to keep silent and just plough along.
Quite disappointing considering that it is a small business of approx. 150 employees and with great potential for growth.
I personally was dismissed unfairly from the employment as part of some plan from management to make me fall in line.
My previous experience of working in 'big banks' was met with the usual resistance to change.
I was accused of not showing loyalty to the right flag.
The quality and quantity of my work was never brought into question.
