Understanding this company as a 'startup' business should ease the concern of growing pains. However, based on our growth we have acquired new real estate and have provided more opportunities for employees. As we continue to grow, the company's efforts have been focused on process improvement, employee retention and customer satisfaction. Throughout the challenges, there have been major changes and improvements in the past 6 months that makes working for scuf fun, enjoyable and rewarding.
Cons
As a startup company, there have been many startup employees hired with no experience which resulted in longer training periods and higher turnover. Despite this concern, there are not many companies providing opportunities like scuf. As companies transition from 'startup' to 'medium-sized', theres a lot of push-back from the more tenured staff who may want a more 'laxed' setting. As business needs have changed, so have expectations and scuf has been very involved ensuring employees are part of this movement. However, there will always be those who are not open to change or growth. These same people are blinded and hinder the opportunities for others.
