I felt like I was being watched on virtual office "qube" and had to appear online at all times, this was difficult when working east coast hours with a predominately west coast office.
I was hired full-time with great benefits, including ample money to purchase office equipment, and a sign-on bonus, but I was laid off after a few months. Senior Leadership had plans to bulk up staff ahead of projected growth, but after that growth did not materialize in the first half of the year there was staff reduction. I know these things happen, but I don't think senior leadership planned appropriately for this. Why hire 60 people and lay them off within months, especially when sales were down, not sure why this affected so many other departments.
