Pros
I enjoy working at SelfHacked because I get to work on my own time and right at home. I write scientific articles for them and all I need to do is meet my deadlines (2 weeks). Also, everyone at SelfHacked that I have interacted with are very nice and if you do make some mistakes, they are not mean about fixing them but help you in a positive manner.
Cons
The editing and review process of the articles needs some work. Also, when you first start off as a writer, your pay is very minimal. I was very close to quitting many times in the beginning because the time you would put in wasn't worth the pay and I had to balance this with school, lab, extracurriculars, etc. However, once you graduate from being an intern to a full-time writer, the pay does get much better.
